Why Choose Guardian Well & Septic For Your Inspection?
At Guardian Well & Septic, our focus is on the health, safety, and longevity of your systems - not on selling you expensive replacements or major installations. This commitment ensures you receive an honest, unbiased assessment and professional service with no conflict of interest. Whether we are performing a real estate inspection or a routine septic pump, our goal is simple: to provide expert service and a report based solely on the facts from an experienced, licensed, and certified team.

Expertise and Credentials: Our owner, Chad Imme, brings a higher level of technical knowledge to every job site. In addition to being a state-licensed and certified well and septic inspector who has performed thousands of evaluations, he is a licensed maintainer and septage operator. We strictly follow the guidelines and requirements set forth by the Wisconsin DNR and Wisconsin DSPS. Our licenses include POWTS Inspector 122664, WI DNR Pump Installer 8680, and WOWRA Certified Existing POWTS Evaluator 20211204, Wisconsin Sanitary License 2712, and Certified Soil Tester 11001.

Services You Can Schedule:

We are proud to offer timely, professional, and detailed inspection and maintenance services to homeowners, business owners, and real estate agents throughout southeastern Wisconsin.

Well Inspections: Our inspections are conducted by a licensed pump installer in compliance with state law for real estate transactions. This service includes a visual inspection, functionality testing, and identification of noncompliant features, all officially reported on DNR Inspection Form #3300-221.

Well Water Testing: We provide comprehensive water quality tests to assess for contaminants like arsenic, nitrates, and coliform bacteria. All samples are processed by a state-certified lab, with results delivered quickly to meet your deadlines. Standalone water tests are also available.

Septic System (POWTS) Inspections: We provide detailed evaluations performed by a WOWRA-certified professional. We use a comprehensive, uniform checklist to ensure an accurate assessment, helping you avoid unnecessary and costly repairs or replacements during a property transfer.

Septic Pumping & POWTS Maintenance: As licensed Septage Operators and POWTS Maintainers, we provide the routine pumping and maintenance required by Wisconsin code (SPS 383.54). Pumping is the most effective way to remove accumulated solids and protect your drainfield from premature failure.

Effluent Filter & Seasonal Service: We offer specialized servicing for effluent filters - a critical barrier that protects your drainfield from clogs. You can also join our Spring and Fall maintenance routes to ensure your filter and system are checked twice a year for total peace of mind.

Important Note Before Your Septic Inspection:

DO NOT have your septic system pumped before the inspection. It is absolutely critical to assess the current state of the system and observe how it is functioning prior to pumping. If pumping is required as part of the inspection process (to evaluate the interior of the tank or meet county requirements), Guardian Well & Septic provides professional pumping services directly. This allows us to handle the entire process efficiently in a single visit. The entire inspection process typically takes 1–2 hours to ensure accurate and detailed reporting. While you are not required to be present, we encourage you to attend so we can show you the system and answer any questions.
